East Coast Mask Makers featured on RTE 'Ireland On Call'
Sinead Mc Guinness and Sinead O'Riordan, co founders of East Coast Mask Makers featured Tuesday 5th May on RTE's 'Ireland on Call'. Their story is so inspiring and they have created an army of like minded people to provide cloth masks to the elderly and vulnerable in the community. Over 40 seamstresses are on board across Wicklow, Dublin and the surrounding areas and more are volunteering daily through the Facebook group or their mobile app www.eastcoastmaskmakers.app
They are also suppling local services including Purple House in Bray for their service users and volunteers.
"I just wanted to say how grateful we are to Sinead and all the team at East Coast Mask Makers for your gorgeous donations of face masks to our service users, our volunteers and and drivers to wear." Veronica O'Leary, Director of Services at Purple House Cancer Support
Since we last reported they have now created 4000 cloth masks! Plus they have raised well over 5k on GoFundMe for more supplies. The biker group Bravo Charlie Tango, Bikers Coming Through have been real heroes too - delivering the masks FREE - even covering their own petrol money. True Gents.
